YAF v1.9.4 FINAL (Dated: 6/28/2010)
Bug/Issue Tracking
YAF now has proper bug tracking thanks to another excellent open source .NET project: BugNET . Please use the tracker to for issues: http://tracker.yetanotherforum.net/
If you want to discuss a possible issue, please post the discussion in this forum: http://forum.yetanotherf...2_Bugs-and-Problems.aspx

I've logged into http://forum.yetanotherf...2_Bugs-and-Problems.aspx using OpenID and for the life of me cannot figure out how to properly search existing issues (to see if one exists before I submit) OR how to submit a new one. Either I don't have access, I'm more out of it right now than I think, or this is about the least intuitive web app I've used (and that's saying something because this looks far less complex than SigmaPro and I can get around in that.)

Managed a flawless upgrade of DotNetNuke 5.4.2 > 5.4.4 and then a perfect upgrade of the forums - You guys are fantastic. I am thrilled with this module and going to write up a blog and article about it.

Thanks for such a wonderful DotNetNuke module...

After this most recent update of DNN to 5.4.4 and YAF to 1.9.4 SVN 3462 (Final), I added another module to another page and set it to point at the same board I've been using. Now links topic can't viewed unless my users login, and out again (if not back in a 2nd time).

A properly working URL looks like: http://alldroid.org/tabi...or-Android.aspx#post4774
The malfunctioning URL looks like: http://alldroid.org/tabi...or-Android.aspx#post4774

Notice the missing tabID. Can anyone say for sure if this is a DNN or YAF issue, or what part of either might be causing it? Once you follow the login/out pattern above then close the browser, if you open a new one, the issue resumes so I'm thinking it might also have something to do with cookies. This happens in Chrome and IE.

Looks like a Problem of My dnn yaf friendly URL Provider, i check that.

You should disable that Feature. Set the Value yaf.enableurlrewriting to false.

Thanks. This is great news. ๐Ÿ™‚

If I want to upgrade from 1.94RC1 to 1.94 is there a script which I can run to make the necessary changes to the database structure?

YAF v1.9.4 rev. 3476. dated July 14 2010 API Documentation:
http://www.4shared.com/file/4UjuEAVI/YafAPIDocumentation.html

YafDB.chm is generated by a SQL Server Database Dictionary building tool, named SqlSpecMany thanks to Jesse at elsasoft.org who have graciously donated the use of their great tool for us to use with YAF.

Read more about the files here It is possible that you get a "the address is not valid" error when trying to open the files.
To solve this:
1. Right-click the CHM file, and then click Properties.
2. Click Unblock.
3. Double-click the .chm file to open the file.
If at first you donโ€™t succeed, call it version 1.0

Hi,

In the announcement it says:

v1.9.4 is .NET v3.5 SP1 ONLY!

Will the v1.9.4 run on ASP.NET 4.0? If so I guess it requires a lot of changes in the web.config?

Thanks,
Anders

Yes it will. Actually, there is a VS2010 solution file in the source version for developers as well.
The announcement was trying to emphasize that YAF doesn't support .NET 2 anymore.
If at first you donโ€™t succeed, call it version 1.0

Argh but one large problem still exists (at least for us).
We have one forum to provide support for some projects.
It would be great to create forums with the same name. for example:

Application 1
+-English
| +-Bug report
+-German
. +-Fehler berichten
Aplication 2
+-English
| +-Bug report
+-German
. +-Fehler berichten

But it cancels with "A forum with such a name already exists." ๐Ÿ˜ž
Is it possible to change this? I don't want to prefix each forum with the application name.
