I'm really confused by this. Must be something I'm missing but i've gone through the different files int he file directory and everything looks right. Register was working until I upgraded

What you mean exactly? is this the wrong URL?

Yea, I'm sorry.

So when you first go to the forum you have the register links, whenever a user clicks the register link instead of sending them to https://website.com/register , it sends them to https://localhost/register. I think I noticed one other place doing that as well but it escapes me right now.

Okay, when you go to Admin > Board Settings what URL is set under BaseUrlMask?

I feel like an idiot. I have no idea how I might have changed that except when I did a local dev but used the remote database. Thanks for that.

Another question if you don't mind. I was working on an app that basically overlays the mobile version of the website, but I wanted to do a hard login utilizing the app. I understand URL Rewrite might prevent sending credentials / logging in through an URL string but I wanted to confirm that was the case.

No out of the box this is not possible. The only way would be to create your own solution, meaning write the code that handles the url login.
