A real situation. A user deleted his post, and I see it as 'deleted record' in the post thread. To completely remove it, I first need to undelete the post and only after that I can remove it from the database. Why two steps if this can be done in one step?

Note that the post becomes publicly visible after the first undelete operation, and maybe, this is not what the post owner wanted. One more reason why this must be done in one step.

Good idea. You could also go to admin > maintenance > restore & delete topics and simply delete all soft deleted posts with one click
