Hello.

Doing some SEO check to my new DNN/YAF installation, i see something strange. I have no idea if this is a YAF standalone or YAF for DNN.

So, i see that all of my Forum posts are Indexed in Google 2 times. One with lower letter and one with the first letter in capital.

Example

http://www.myweb.com/tabid/69/g/posts/m/4/Venetian-Carnival-2011.aspx#post4   (THIS is the real url as posted by the user)

http://www.myweb.com/tabid/69/g/posts/m/4/venetian-carnival-2011.aspx#post4

thanks

I have checked with my tools a couple of standalone yaf forums and they seem ok.

So maybe this is a Yaf for DNN problem. If anybody could post a link to a DNN/YAF website with friendly urls enabled, i could check.

It seems that in DNN YAF the Last Posts Links are FORCED to lowercase and apparently this is why the above problem happens. In other also areas lower case is forced, like in the breadcrump menus (top and bottom).

Strange i cannot reproduce this. By the way all Urls are formatted in the same way.

Thx Found the Problem fixed in #4261.

You can remove the Line from Web.config for temp. Fix.

<add key="YAF.URLRewritingMode" value="Unicode" />
or change the Value to Translit if you want to keep the Special Unicode Chars.

May i ask why this didn't affect YAF standalone ?

If you add this line to the yaf standalone app.config and the effect will be the same.
